Free plugin to add a top banner to your blog
Did you spot the pale yellow banner at the top of this blog with the affiliate ads on it? It’s from MaxPressBlog and it’s called Stripe Ad.
It’s a plugin that gets installed the conventional way and then can be used to create a message at the top of your blog for any reason that you like. So, you can use it for information as well as links.
It’s an absolute doddle to set up. After you have uploaded it via the Add New Plugins section of the dashboard, you go to Settings/MBP Stripe Ad and input the details you want. These include your title and link details.
You can have several rotating banners, and each of these can be given a “weight” as a measure of importance – the higher the weight the more often that particular message is shown.
Other settings include having a new page open upon clicking, text and color settings and how often you want a visitor to see the banner.
You can also remove the “Powered by” link but you need to purchase the pro version for that.
Time will tell if the banner converts to sales, but since it’s so easy to set up it’s worth trying it out on your blog.
You can get the plugin HERE.
