Article Marketing For Residual Income

Article marketing is a good example of where an occasional effort can pay dividends in the form of residual income. But what is article marketing?

Put simply, it’s writing an article connected to the subject of your blog or website, or something you’re promoting on it. Once it’s written, you submit it to article directories. The reason for doing that is that with each article you are allowed a bio box at the bottom where you can include details about yourself and your site, along with a link to it.

Now here’s the clever part – not every website or blog owner loves to write. So they turn instead to article directories, where they can take any article and use it on their site – providing they keep the bio box intact. So suddenly you have backlinks from their websites to your own, which in time will help your website with search engine ranking. More importantly, you will get traffic, which will in turn lead to sales of affiliate products you’re promoting or clicks to your Google ads.

If you get into the habit of submitting articles on a regular basis to article directories, say once a week, before long you will have a large database of articles others can use. And they are more likely to be used because as a regular contributor you will be considered an expert writer, and your articles will feature more prominently in the directory.

Now here’s where the occasional effort equates to residual income. Once you have written and submitted your articles, you don’t have to do anything else. When they are placed on a blog or website, provided the sites don’t close down, they are there indefinitely. Your articles, along with your links, will be floating around in cyberspace for a long time to come, providing ongoing traffic to your websites. Now isn’t that worth a little effort once in a while?

    2. As I browsed through a tones of sites, I feel I should even internet market my site. I’m basically a computer graphics person, but I sometimes feel that it will be time consuming, but what’s also the harm in doing it.

    3. Jeff, if you plan to make any money online, then marketing your site is a must, otherwise it will get lost in the crowd. I’d definitely recommend learning some basic marketing techniques such as search engine optimization and monetization.
